Santorum: "I'm a lover, not a hater"
And other little tidbits and cartoons I had to pass along
I'm crazy busy right now with various cartoon-related projects... but this is a great quote from the debate over the anti-gay amendment:
""You can say I'm a hater," said Senator Rick Santorum, Republican of Pennsylvania and a leading proponent of the amendment. "But I would argue I'm a lover. I'm a lover of traditional families and children who deserve the right to have a mother and father."
How about families with loving parents, period?
Some great cartoons: Ted Rall has a fantastic one imagining poetic justice for deposed Bushists, and a good one on civilian casualties. And Ann Telnaes and Joel Pett cartoon about the U.S.'s emphasis on morality and abstinence over saving lives when it comes to AIDS.
