New Toons: Abstinence Education, Shock Prez + Apocalypse Bob
Also, there really is a (comedy) movie called Killer Condom: The Rubber That Rubs You Out, though I haven't seen it myself. OK, so maybe New York charging cars $8 to cut down on pollution and traffic and improve public transport won't stave off environmental apocalypse, but it's a start. (Personally, I'd rather see NO personal cars in the city—maybe then I'd be brave enough to take my bike into Manhattan!). A sequel to 2005's "Sick Confessions of a Serial Bomber!" I did it before I went away on vacation, and it already feels pretty dated. Ah well.

Charging $8 dollars is “classist”. It allows people with money greater access to driving in Manhattan no matter what vehicle they drive and/or how much they pollute. If you raise the fee enough the rich and fabulous will have the streets to themselves.
It really is a Band-Aid approach that may not even result in less pollution. New York needs a comprehensive plan that includes much cheaper public transportation. How about a parking tax on private parking for gas guzzlers? With the new electronic meters - couldn’t gas guzzlers be charged more for public parking, too?
Look, I'm no Bloomberg fan! Obviously public transportation should be cheaper (how about free?!), and there needs to be a more comprehensive plan to radically combat global climate change. But I think city streets should be as car-free and pollution-free as possible, aside from public transportation--and I support anything trending in that direction.
Congestion pricing may not be a comprehensive solution, but it's a start.
Yeah, this $8 charge is probably not the right way to go about this, but it's good to see there's something being tried. Hopefully it'll lead to some discourse about what actually WILL work.
