Attention Friends of Lulu Board Members: Please Nominate Me for the Kim Yale Prize?
According to the Beat, Friends of Lulu Award voting will be open to the general public, but apparently nominations are still reserved for board members... Anyway, the Kim Yale Award is for cartoonists whose first book has been published in the last three years, so I qualify thanks to Attack of the 50-Foot Mikhaela! (coming in June!).
Update: Bummer, I misread the rules! "Publication" doesn't just mean book publication, so I don't qualify after all. Ah well.

Mikhaela, the KY Award encompasses work that's debuted during the last three years, and you've been doing your online strip (which is considered as "being published") far longer than that. I'm afraid I don't think of you as a "new talent" any more, you're pretty much a veteran at this point! Which of course means you're eligible for a Lulu of the Year award.
Ah, I took "publication" to mean "book publication"! Thanks for the clarification.
